KAJOL IN DABBO RATNANI'S 2009 CALENDER

KAJOL

DABBO SAYS:Initially, it was supposed to be shot in a rundown garage. But when i saw Kajol in the gown and in keeping with her bindaas image, I put her on top of a cab. We shot for it on the streets of Oshiwara and despite the crowd, she was gung-ho. The concept is the morning after a party with the glass and her footwear carelessly thrown in.

The calender also includes many other stars from the bolywood industry. Some of them are shown below

DEEPIKA PADUKONE

RITESH DESHMUKH AISHWARYA RAI

SANJAY DUTT

ABHISHEK BACHCHAN

BOBBY DEOL AND PRIYANKA CHOPRA

KATRINA AND SAIF

AKSHAY KUMAR AND KAREENA

AND MANY MORE...48 OF THEM IN TOTAL

KAJOL ON THE COVER OF MEN'S MAGAZINE

The actress recently shot for a men's magazine

After Priyanka Chopra and Tabu, it's now Kajol's turn to be featured on the cover of M, a lifestyle and luxury magazine for men.

Bringing it forward

Says a source, "Normally, the magazine features one big actress a year on their cover. They feature strong, independent, successful actresses. While they shot with Tabu last year; for the February 2009 issue they shot with Kajol.

They loved her picture so much that they decided to use it and the interview for the January issue instead. Kajol, too, was also very accommodating during the shoot. Though she is known to be difficult, when she was shooting the lights went off but she did not complain."

Kajol adds, "It was great fun to shoot and to see how far you can go. It's great working with Jatin Kampani. I think he can make anybody look good, even me."

On the wishlist

Pranav Capila, executive editor, M, "Why wouldn't a men's magazine want Kajol on its cover? She's certainly been on our wish list for a while.

She's one of our most talented actors; she's intelligent and independent thinking and isn't afraid to show it; she knows her mind and through her life choices has proved that she isn't a slave to celebrity she can take it or leave it.

And of course, she's a knockout! We believe that's exactly the sort of woman our reader wants to see on our cover someone who isn't just window-dressing to sell the magazine"

Classy yet modern

Capila adds, "I think Kajol's feature turned out great. Visually, we wanted to present Kajol as both classic and contemporary and Jatin Kampani's photos delivered that feel."

KAJOL IN 3 IDIOTS

Kajol in my name is khan apart from that ,more interesting news, the actress is doing a cameo for another Khan, Aamir! At least that’s what the gupshup is these days. Kads, who takes that extra effort for KJo, SRK or then hubby Devgan, readily accepted to do a special appearance in Raj Kumar Hirani’s 3 Idiots. Apparently Kajol has done this role just for Aamir, whom she was paired opposite in Kunal Kohli’s Fanaa. But what is it exactly that she’s doing in 3 Idiots isn’t too clear yet. It’s a small but fantastic role, as far ive come to know.

KAJOL IN LOS ANGLES,STARTING SHOOTING FOR MY NAME IS..

K-Jo Confidential

Karan Johar, who is presently in Los Angeles, shooting for My Name Is Khan says, "My lead actor (Shah Rukh Khan) plays autistic in the film, and now I think, my phone is too!" I believe him. Two days earlier, I got a text message from him saying, "I hope you are dog." Three times. Had it been anyone else from the industry, I would recreate the Harbhajan Singh-Andrew Symonds type of controversy. After all, calling someone a kutta, is as bad as calling someone a monkey (or maa ki...) But with Karan, there had to be an explanation. He later clarified: The message was supposed to read — I hope you are dng (doing) good. An exasperated Karan complains, "My phone has started behaving strangely. It does the exact opposite of what I want. It types whatever it wants to type and it has been incessantly calling Aamir Khan's number. Much as I want to make cracks about a phone from an SRK set dialing Aamir, I resist. There are other things to talk about — from his last film, Dostana to the new under-production one. Read on for excerpts from a conversation.

Are you happy with how Dostana fared at the BO? Or were you expecting more?
I would say it has met with my expectations. I knew we were pushing the envelope, it was scary, out-of-the-box, edgy, and we had two mainstream actors kissing in the climax — even it was it was intuited — and it was a big risk. But it has done really well. It has been accepted well by the young urban audience.

So will we see ads and hoardings declaring collections etc, like most industrywallas?
I haven't done it, but I don't think there is anything wrong with it. I think it is a brand building exercise. Corporates need it to do it as they are answerable to their stock holders and production houses come out with the ads for their own reasons. And if you can afford to take out full page ads, and hoardings, then why not? I don't have a problem with it. What I think is wrong when people try to put out wrong inflated figures. Just to prove that their film is a hit.

These days a film releases on Friday, and there's a success party on Monday. Why haven't you had one for Dostana.
What's the point, darling? If I have a party to celebrate the success of Dostana, then only the lead cast of the film will turn up. When I have a party, I want the whole industry to show up, and that won't happen at the success party of any film. So, I won't have it. I don't want to have a party just to call the media and make a noise about my film. I am just happy whether it is infidelity or homosexuality, Dharma is breaking barriers in the kind of films we are making.

This is the first time you are shooting in LA, how is it different from New York?
In LA, Everything is by the book. We have a lot of foreign cast in the film, and we had to go through the screen actor's guild. There are rules, modulations, and it's very disciplined and very Hollywood. And very film-friendly.

You had to change venue during KANK, due to the crowds..

There is no crowd here. We are the only crowd. We are about an hour-and-a-half out of LA. People won't even know where it was shot. It could be any heartland of America. We needed this kind of location and it suits us perfectly.

How many hours do you shoot?
Twelve hours a day… the foreign crew may work single-shifts of eight hours but we desi girls and boys put in longer hours. Also we have to work fast because we lose light by 4.30. I am working with an entirely new crew this time. Barring SRK, Kajol and me, it's an all new team. I have new ADs, a DoP and production team. I have never worked with Ravi Chandran before.

KJo shoots with Kajol after 8 years

Guess who's back: Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol on the sets of My Name Is Khan KJo shoots with his favourite, Kajol, after eight years! Karan Johar shot with his first heroine Kajol after a gap of eight years in Los Angeles, earlier this week for his film My Name is Khan. Shah Rukh Khan, who is the lead of the film is also working with the actress after eight years. On directing Kajol, Karan says, "It is a surreal feeling. As soon as she came in front of the camera, it felt so natural and normal. I didn't feel even once that I hadn't directed her for so long. She is still the same. Elegant on the screen, and an effortless performer. I am glad she is a part of this film. Shah Rukh's and her pairing and chemistry is immaculate.

here is few clips from the first shots of the movie
